Summer work

Got bored over the summer, and decided to do something. So I began collecting a lot of cans. I think can arts are really unique. Here is a quicky that I have worked on. I want to do something more epic though...any ideas?

I did this project in art III 3-D design class in my junior year. It is made up of entirely of Coke cans. I really enjoyed doing this project, because it was one of our special project and we get to make whatever we wanted. I'm planning to do more project with soda can in the future.

Model plane

I made a plane model using entirely of Coke cans when I was in art III 3-D design class. The process was a bit frustrating since it was hard to form the body of the plane. I really enjoy making this project. Art III 3-D design is an interesting class! I had it in my junior year and enjoyed it very much. Art II 2-D is cool too! I think that was the only class I look forward everyday in high school.

Final project of my senior year. Our theme was focused on foreshortening. The ideas really hits me and I began to come up with many different ideas. I actually really enjoyed working on this final piece and I was very satisfied with the end result. Although I could somewhat alter it to make it looks better. But overall I am very please with this project!

Precisionism

This was probably the most difficult and frustrating piece that I have done. Each brush stroke require very steady hands. A lot of patience were require because it has to be as precise as possible. This project was a challenge, and I did what I could. I'm some what satisfied, but I'm sure there are more room for improvement.

Peter Max

Having fun with Peter Max style of painting. I was suppose to take a picture of my face and create an energetic picture using bright color. I decided that just the face alone wasn't going to turn out as energetic. So, I did something a little different and take a picture of my whole body with a very energetic pose. It turn out better than I thought it was. Everything just seem to "POP" out. This was a very fun project and I enjoyed it.

HDR photography

HDR photography really capture viewer's attention. It gives the sense of surrealism. HDR stands for High Dynamic Range, what it does it uses three different level of EV, and compressed it together to create HDR. This can easily be done on a DSLR camera. Standard digital camera would work, but it would require some steady finger. You can use Photoshop to create HDR image, but is a tedious process. There is a program out there called Photomatix that does a better job. I have done a couple of HDR work, and I would like to continue to make more HDR images.

Car in 2030

I drew this piece using water colors, because I wanted a different value in the color. I like this piece that I have done for my altered book. I use orange in the background to give it a strong momentum. I also like to "flick" the brush to gives those spot on the piece, and it gave the piece a sense of movement on the car.

Urban Graffiti

I found this website that totally blew my mind. There are three videos, but oneof those talks about how a group called the G.R.L which stand for Graffiti Research Lab. They brought graffiti into a whole new level. This is an open source group, and it allow other to do what they have done. This is a cleaner way of doing graffiti, because you're not spraying on a wall. All they use was a laser pen, laptop, and a projector. They had a program on the computer that allow them to output different styles of graffiti. I think this is the revolution of street art.

Neat Photography

I was on a social networking site, and I saw this. It really caught my attention how you can use a picture within a picture. It seem like a really neat idea and I would like to try this out someday. All I need now is a Polaroid camera and I'm set.
